Shared Priorities:
Creating Catholic Conditions for Well-Being, Learning and Leading

feel accepted by students in the school, as demonstrated by the School Climate Survey

Outcome Progress Comments
5/25/2015: We continue to foster and promote a caring, nurturing, and supportive healthy and inclusive
environment where all students feel safe. This is evident through our participation in Anti-bullying presentations,
Girls and Boys Empowerment Days, Community Education Officer presentations, on line reporting tool, workshops,
and school wide spirit activities. Our "Speak Up Room" and P.A.L.S Program led by our Child and Youth Worker

Annual Progress Report
Shared Priorities:
Knowing the Learner through Assessment
Outcomes:
4.0 By June 2016, there will be an increase in the proportion of students able to articulate
strategies supporting their learning, as demonstrated by perceptual data survey results,e.g.
EQAO Questionnaire.
Outcome Progress Comments
5/25/2015: As we continue to incorporate a wide variety of explicit teaching strategies (e.g. learning goals, success
criteria, anchor charts, 3 part model, etc...) and use differentiated instruction and assessment in making
connections to real life situations, we recognize there are many ways for students to arrive and communicate an
answer. As partners in the classroom, we develop lessons and tasks that reflect student strengths and areas of
growth, and use student evidence as a basis for communicating with parents.
Shared Priorities:
Responding through Effective Instruction
Outcomes:
5.0 By June 2016, there will be an increase in the proportion of students improving their
EQAO achievement level between assessment years.
Outcome Progress Comments
5/25/2015: In collaboration with our Special Assignment Teacher, we continue to provide opportunities for coplanning, co-teaching, and teacher moderations sessions, as well as collaborative teacher grade level networking
sessions. Learning goals, success criteria, anchor charts, and descriptive feedback continue to be a school wide
focus. Effective use of diagnostic, formative and summative assessments continue to guide best teaching and
learning practices and support improvement in student achievement and well-being.
