Outcomes:
1.0 By June 2016, there will be a decrease in the proportion of students reporting that they
have been bullied as demonstrated by the CCCC School Climate Survey results.
Outcome Progress Comments
5/31/2015: The school will examine the 2014-2015 School Climate Survey results to reflect on progress and to
determine next steps. The school continues to access the support of NPU officers, CYW and the Social Worker. The
CYW continues to support students through play/social skill groups and through the Roots of Empathy Program.
The Bully Free Zone Club continues to engage the school community in activities and messages that promote safety
and acceptance.

Building Collaborative Practices Through Inquiry
Outcomes:
2.0 By June 2016, there will be an increase in the proportion of students who have
demonstrated improvement on the learning skill and work habit of collaboration.
Outcome Progress Comments
5/31/2015: The school will examine final report cards to determine if there has been a change in student ability to
collaborate. Teachers, through divisional meetings and collaborative groupings, continue to dialogue and reflect on
student ability to work collaboratively with their peers. Staff continue to access professional resources related to
collaboration and growth mind-set.

Outcomes:
2.1 By June 2016, there will be an increase in the proportion of teachers who intend to
continue to develop knowledge gained through professional learning opportunities in
collaboration with others as demonstrated by goals outlined in Annual Learning Plans.

5/31/2015: Teachers have been engaged in individual inquires as well as inquires related to the school-wide focus
on math. Several members of staff have participated in Program facilitated opportunities focused on student
inquiry. Feedback indicates that staff will continue to focus on assessment in math as well as continue with
individual inquires focused on self-regulation, next generation classrooms and student inquiry.

Enhancing Transitional Practices
Outcomes:
3.0 By June 2016, there will an increase in the proportion of students who have
demonstrated improvement on the learning skill and work habit of self-regulation.
Outcome Progress Comments
5/31/2015: The school will examine final report cards to determine if there has been a change in student ability to
self-regulate. Staff continue to access professional resources related to growth mind-set and self-regulation.
Transition meetings with receiving teachers/Loyola CSS staff continue to support the transition of students with
diverse learning needs.

Knowing the Learner through Assessment
Outcomes:
4.0 By June 2016, there will be an increase in the proportion of students able to articulate
strategies supporting their learning, as demonstrated by perceptual data survey results.

5/31/2015: Evidence of student ability to articulate strategies used to support learning has been gathered through
Administrator Learning Walks. Students are asked the following questions: 1) What are you learning? 2) How are
you doing? 3) How do you know? 4) How can you improve? 4) Where do you go for help? Through the support of
posted Learning Goals and Success Criteria and through the use of Descriptive Feedback, students are able to
better articulate their learning.

4.1 By June 2016, there will be an increase in the proportion of educators who have
increased their understanding of assessment for and as learning as a result of professional
learning opportunities as demonstrated by professional learning feedback.

5/31/2015: Teachers continue to implement the use Learning Goals and Success Criteria to communicate learning
targets for students and parents. Dialogue around "Assessment For" and "Assessment Of" learning continues
during staff and divisional meetings and during co-planning and co-teaching opportunities.

Responding through Effective Instruction
Outcomes:
5.0 By June 2016, there will be an increase in the proportion of students attaining a high
level of achievement on EQAO areas assessing critical thinking and/or problem-solving.

5/31/2015: Lunch and Learn sessions have focused on using the Four Roles of the Literate Learner to plan Guided
Reading sessions. The Special Assignment Teacher has worked with teachers to co-plan/co-teach 3 Part math
lessons. These sessions have focused on unpacking the curriculum, developing open tasks and have highlighted the
mathematical processes.

Outcomes:
5.1 By June 2016, there will be an increase in the proportion of educators who intend to
apply knowledge gained through professional learning opportunities as demonstrated
through professional learning feedback.
Outcome Progress Comments
5/31/2015: Teachers will have the opportunity to reflect on their professional learning during the June staff
meeting. Information gathered will determine next steps and plans for professional learning in the 2015-2016
school year.
