POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Project Facilitator Exempt CATEGORY: GRADE: Professional Support C JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the coordination, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the assigned project and appropriate support services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Coordinate the development and implementation of recruitment activities for the project(s); develop a marketing plan and materials; ensure compliance with grant requirements. YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 30% 2. Establish criteria and coordinate with various departments and external organizations regarding the selection of project participants; advise and counsel students participating in the project during registration process in coordination with the Counseling department; identify students requiring tutoring and/or mentoring, forwarding recommendations to Deans and/or Director. 20% 3. Supervise the maintenance of student databases, student records and preparation of required reports. 15% 4. Develop and write grants for continued federal/state funding of the program; evaluate program outcomes in accordance with grant guidelines and EPCC procedures; evaluate the effectiveness of instructional delivery, effectiveness of teaching methods and materials. 15% 5. Develop and maintain a resource center of instructional materials for use by the participants; build and maintain liaisons with representatives from appropriate health care facilities and organizations. 6. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years. SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Skills/Abilities: Organizational, communication, and leadership skills are imperative. Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the institution, to include faculty and administration. 2. Equipment Used: PC, typewriter, fax, copier, printer, telephone. 3. Software Used: MS Office, to include Excel and Access; Corel WordPerfect, PageMaker, Print Shop PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Duties require little physical effort in work with light (up to 10lbs), easy to handle materials. Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Alternative or combined skills in understanding, counseling, and/or influencing people are important in achieving job objectives, causing action, understanding others, or changing behavior; and, skills of persuasiveness or assertiveness, as well as sensitivity to the point of view of others. WORKING CONDITIONS: Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with occasional distractions such as noise, interruptions, or congested work areas with exposure to some disagreeable elements.
