JOB SUMMARY: Assist in the development of the automated planning system to include the
development of the instructional class schedule district wide.

1. Assist in the organization and development of the class schedule.

Proofread and verify class schedule information submitted by the
Instructional Deans before sending to be printed.
2. Process Schedule Revision Forms (SRF) for schedule modifications as
instructed by the Instructional Deans. Responsible for notifying
Instructional Deans, Student Services Manager and other departments
that are affected by schedule modification.

3. Assist in the planning and maintenance campus room charts for bother
credit and non-credit courses district wide. Coordinate with Student
Services Manager of any outside organization or any activity requiring the
use of rooms.

4. Enter the CO/ISIS which ensures the courses having a lecture/lab code is
locked in the system. Process Special registration request forms.
Provide census date, last day to withdraw, send it to the Tuition
department for refunds. Assist students in resolving schedule conflicts.
Provide information regarding the class schedule.

5. Enter course requirements for the credit courses such as pre-requisites,
lab fees, malpractice insurance and/or special requirements.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Assistant Registrar for Registration.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Associate’s degree.
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Skills/Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively with employees of the District and
the general public. Ability to work with detail and accuracy.
2. Equipment Used: Personal Computer, fax, telephone, copier, and other equipment
associated with an office environment.
3. Software Used: A variety of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and
presentation software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Duties require little physical effort in work with light (up to 10lbs), easy to handle
materials. Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due
to long periods of standing, sitting, and/or repetitive motion.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Alternative or combined skills in understanding, counseling, and/or influencing people are
important in achieving job objectives, causing action, understanding others, or changing
behavior; and, skills of persuasiveness or assertiveness, as well as sensitivity to the point
of view of others.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with many and frequent
distractions such as noise, interruptions, or congested work areas with exposure to some
disagreeable elements.
