POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: EXTENDED TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Manager Manager, Instructional Service Center Exempt CATEGORY: Professional GRADE: C JOB SUMMARY: Provide coordination, leadership, and direction to Instructional Service Center (ISC) staff and users to ensure quality services. Provide supervisory resolution to all technical and staffing matters. Maintain departmental inventories and departmental records and reports. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 50% 1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the ISC department. Coordinate, establish priorities, delegate and provide supervision to multi-campus ISC staff. Assure all ISC equipment is maintained and operational. Maintain office safety and security, create staff work schedules. Participate in the development and recommendation of budget process. Implement and monitor fiscal year operating budget. 2. Maintain internal inventory control and distribution of all equipment, furniture and supplies. Generate requisitions, manage and oversee open purchase orders for purchase of supplies and services. Participate in the development of departmental equipment and supply bids. 20% 3. Provide personnel management direction and guidance to staff including training orientation, performance appraisal, professional development, coaching and counseling. Participate in setting performance goals and priorities that contribute to departmental mission. Conduct and attend staff training seminars and workshops to enhance management, technology, and leadership skills. 15% 4. Coordinate and delegate production of all records management services and maintain records. Responsible for generating department reports. Design and implement ISC brochures, departmental signs, memoranda; develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures. 10% 5. Skills/Abilities: Must possess strong leadership, management/organizational skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the institution, proficient in computer and mathematical skills. Ability to work flexible schedules. Ability to function in stressful situations. Strong customer service skills. Must be able to adapt to different environment. 2. Equipment Used: Personal computer, fax, telephone, copier, folding cutter, drill, scanner, and other equipment associated with an office/print shop environment. 3.
