POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: FLSA STATUS: CE Registration Specialist Non-exempt CATEGORY: GRADE: Classified E Job Summary: Coordinate the day-to-day operations for the District’s Continuing Education support office. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 1. Coordinate the day-to-day operations for the District’s Continuing Education support office. Prioritize and schedule work. Provide direct supervision of office functions and staff in the absence of the Assistant Registrar. 30% 2. Perform daily internal audits of the automated information management system to insure accuracy and continuity of district wide continuing education courses and student records maintained for reporting purposes and student records/transcripts. 20% 3. Serve as liaison between the District Continuing Education Support Office and other departments or external agencies to explain policies, procedures, and regulations governing departmental functions; assist in compiling operational information/statistics; run and submit daily reports in support of the department; and recommend department and district-wide policies procedures. 20% 4. Respond to customers’ questions. Serve as the central point for general information regarding all aspects of continuing education training, i.e. scheduling, admission requirements, course prerequisites, tuition and fees, public agency inquiries for customized training, procedures and daily resolutions to conflicts involving customer satisfaction. 20% 5. Assist the Assistant Registrar for Continuing Education with preparation, submission, and validation of the quarterly Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board CBMOOAA and CBMOOC State Reports. Insure accuracy of all information submitted. 5% 6.
