Proposal Summary
Explain the purpose for this proposal:
The purpose of this proposal is to change the current course (ATTR 45039 - 4 CH) into 2 (3 credit hour each) courses to
adequately address the new competencies prescribed by the CAATE-accreditation agency, NATA competencies (5th edition),
and BOC Role Delineation Practice Analysis 6 (RDPA6). Content in this new course will also include content shifted from the
elimination of PEP 15018 - Swimming and Aquatic Skills to make it more specific to the ATTR profession.
Explain how this proposal affects program requirements and students in your unit:
There will be no cumulative change in the ATTR major (121 hours to graduate). We are eliminating courses as we add new
courses so this will have little effect if any.
Explain how this proposal affects courses, program requirements and student in other units:
This is a majors only course.
Explain how this proposal affects enrollment and staffing:
Majors only course - load will be shifted internally to address this course. We have 6 full-time faculty (4 NTT) to share the
teaching load.
Units consulted (other departments, programs or campuses affected by the proposal):
None.
