Proposal Summary
Explain the purpose for this proposal:
This course is being modified to have a 43018 slash associated with it. It is currently taught as a graduate level course
(ATTR 63018) and will now have an undergraduate course aligned with it. This will address the new competencies for
athletic trainers.
Explain how this proposal affects program requirements and students in your unit:
Already offered in the fall and summer as a graduate level course and a Spring section will be added to accommodate the
ATTR majors sequencing. Adding the UG section will not change the enrollment significantly.
Explain how this proposal affects courses, program requirements and student in other units:
This will enable students in ATTR, EXSC, EXPH and IHS the opportunity to take this course. It will not impact these units
other than provide an undergraduate option for this course.
Explain how this proposal affects enrollment and staffing:
Enrollment will likely increase but this course is typically small enrollment both summer and Fall. A spring section will be
added to accommodate the writing intensive load for undergraduates and sequencing for ATTR majors. Peer already has this
as part of her load.
Units consulted (other departments, programs or campuses affected by the proposal):
IHS, EXSI, EXPH
