Proposal Summary
Explain the purpose for this proposal:
This course will fill the need for specific neurological competencies new in the 5th edition of the NATA Competencies. It will
fill the void created from eliminating Psych Dimensions of Motor Behavior which does not specifically address the core
content for this major. This course will also be a potential major course for the IHS major tracts in the future.
Explain how this proposal affects program requirements and students in your unit:
It is a majors only course and will replace the Psych Dimensions of MB course. There will be no change in credit hours for
the major
Explain how this proposal affects courses, program requirements and student in other units:
It will be an elective and potentially a new major course for IHS. Otherwise, it is a majors only change that will not have an
impact on other units.
Explain how this proposal affects enrollment and staffing:
This course will be taught by ATTR faculty who have the load to do so. It will be offered once annually.
Units consulted (other departments, programs or campuses affected by the proposal):
IHS, PEP
