Proposal Summary
Explain the purpose for this proposal:
The course contents was originally offered by Counseling and Human Development Services as a seminar course (CHDS

degree completion which is a distressing time with the reality of job search process and headlines pronouncing the lack of
jobs for college graduates. The learning outcomes of the course is to assist students in 1) making informed career decisions
and 2) establish a plan to advance in career and life. In-class activities include lecture, discussion, presentations, tests, etc.
Out-of-class activities may include readings, assignments, tests, placements, etc. The course maybe offered web based.
Explain how this proposal affects program requirements and students in your unit:
Optional in the program. Length of the program will remain the same. Students will not be impacted because the course
requires special approval for scheduling.

There should be no impact. We have discussed the reactivation of this course with the Education Administration faculty and
will continue to work with them on establishing the course.
