Proposal Summary
Explain the purpose for this proposal:
This course is currently offered to majors and non-majors. The non-majors really do not need all of the taping and wrapping
skills but do need the First Aid and CPR certification elements for their respective professions. This course was redesigned
relative to content so that it will address the needs of majors and non-majors who take this course. Major content (taping,
wrapping, equipment fitting, etc) will be moved to majors only courses (ATTR 15001 and ATTR 15011) which have been
redesigned.
Explain how this proposal affects program requirements and students in your unit:
There is no impact on our course or program as the content is simply redesigned.
Explain how this proposal affects courses, program requirements and student in other units:
ExSc requires this course and it will now better suit their needs relative to content. They will continue to require the course.
It will not change their program.
Explain how this proposal affects enrollment and staffing:
It is currently taught by ATTR faculty and will continue to be taught by ATTR faculty. It is not a new course, just revised
content.
Units consulted (other departments, programs or campuses affected by the proposal):
