Glassy Creek s t r e a m r e s t o r a t i o n p r o j e c t your storm water fees at work April 2010 Dear Resident, The Glassy Creek Stream Restoration Project has started the planning phase. Property owners may see representatives from the City of Charlotte and Wildlands Engineering near the open channel areas over the next several months as information is gathered for planning. The planning phase information will provide the basis for the decision making process regarding the best design alternative and proposed alignment for the open channel. Design phase will follow planning and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services will complete the construction plans for the chosen design alternative. Permitting, bid and construction will follow the planning and design phase for this project. Most of the project easements have been acquired but some property owners in the project area may still need to be contacted by the City of Charlotte’s representatives in regard to easement acquisition for their property. For more information about this project and schedule, please visit our website at http://stormwater.charmeck.org and click on Storm Water Projects, Storm Water Projects again, then Glassy Creek.
