UNDER CONSTRUCTION NIGHTINGALE L ANE STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Dear Resident: June 2009 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services is currently in the construction phase of the Nightingale Lane Storm Drainage Improvement Project. United Construction was awarded the construction contract in February 2009 and began work on March 16, 2009. United Construction has been working along the new section of stream. The connection of the new stream to McMullen Creek is now complete and they plan to progress upstream to Blue Heron Drive in late July. The contractor has started to place the pipe, so residents may notice an increase in construction activities along the streets. Construction updates will be sent approximately every four months. However, if you would like to receive more frequent updates via email, please send your email address to William Harris with “Nightingale Email List” in the subject heading. For more information, please visit our website at http://stormwater. charmeck.org and click on Storm Water Projects, Storm Water Projects again, and then Nightingale.
