Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and Ferebee
Corporation continue with construction of the Edwards Branch
Phase III Storm Drainage Improvement Project.
With the exception of plantings, Ferebee has completed the
work in the Evergreen Cemetery. They are currently working on
the Winterfield Tributary making stream repairs.
Construction is anticipated to be complete by the end of this
year, however, planting the vegetation may go into the early
months of 2012.
Coir matting is placed on the Winterfield Tributary
stream banks to help with stabilization. The matting
covers the stream banks and holds the soil in place
until the plants are established.

A construction inspector will be on site daily to address any
questions or concerns. Please note that efforts are taken to
