Alanhurst/Cherrycrest storm drainage improvement project November 13, 2013 Dear Resident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services held its second public meeting for the Alanhurst/Cherrycrest Storm Drainage Improvement Project on October 29 at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church. The project goals are to reduce flooding of streets and structures, as well as reduce erosion along the stream and channel (by stabilization) where needed. The meeting provided the opportunity to review the preferred design alternative. Meeting highlights: • Project Team discussed the preferred design alternative which will be utilized for the construction of the project. • The next phase will start the preliminary design plans. Once these plans are submitted for review then YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK easement acquisition will start and another public meeting will be held. • The next public meeting will focus on the individual property impacts, timeframe for the impacts and the easement language. All property owners should attend if at all possible.
