Alanhurst/Cherrycrest storm drainage improvement project YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK July 2011 Dear Resident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services has hired a consultant, W. K. Dickson & Co., Inc., to study possible storm drainage improvements in the Alanhurst/Cherrycrest project area. The project boundaries are Archdale Road and Griffin Road to the south and north, King’s Branch floodplain to the west and Old Pineville Road to the east. Representatives from the Project Team may need to enter your property to collect survey data on the existing storm drainage system. While State law authorizes this access to private property, no buildings or structures will be entered or disturbed. You may see small round metal discs attached to trees. Each “tree tag” serves as an identifier of the tree location and variety for easier recognition and will stay in place for the life of the project. The survey work will begin over the next couple of weeks and take several months to complete. For more information about this project, please visit our website at http://stormwater.charmeck.org and click on Storm Water Projects drop down menu in the green bar, then Active Projects and Alanhurst/ Cherrycrest. If you have any questions, please contact Project Manager Susan Tolan at stolan@charlottenc.gov or 704-432-0407.
