Inspections
If there are power vents or “B” vent on a roof that is being re-roofed
then electrical and mechanical permits would be required.
In both the 2009 and the 2012 NCBC this section requires drip edge to
be installed on roofs.
Special inspections conducted under the requirements of Chapter 17 of
the Building Code are to be conducted in conjunction with inspections
made by the code official. They are not to take the place of the code
official’s inspections.
