Role:
Participating in the 10 week TCUP summer intern program as led by Dr. Donald Robinson.
Duties and Responsibilities:
 Participating in 10 weeks TCUP Summer Intern Program. See brochure.

 a) Working with faculty researchers in training activities.
 b) Attending presentations and lectures related to primary field study.
 Participate in field work as on-going research in public area.

Produce and present own presentation and assessment on subject matter at end of project.

Record Keeping: a) for work, as appropriate and b) maintaining of records for completing
project.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Experience:
Science major, prefer sophomore or Junior, prefer Dine College students entering in BSBiology or other TCUP or DC STEM disciplines.
Must have completed, successfully, at least on year of college-level academic coursework in
a science or social discipline.

Ability to work with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to engage with other learners and successfully complete3 required academic projects.
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and proficiency.

Ability to adhere to established College’s Student Code of Conduct, and TCUP policies.
Oral fluency in Navajo is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
Basic knowledge of computer operations and software is required.
Ability to demonstrate a considerable degree of fluency in the speaking and writing of the
English Language.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Most activities will require outdoor field trips which will occur during day, or overnight camping to
complete projects. The location of several weeks of the program will be in a hot, maybe humid
climate and remote-rural area of the Navajo Nation or off the reservation.
