For Immediate Release – Lawton, OK, Oct. 7, 2004 CU, AHEC set next lecture in bioterrorism series Cameron University and the Southwest Area Health Education Center invite all healthcare professionals and first responders to attend a two-hour overview of chemical agents. Dr. Art Wallace, director of the Tulsa Regional Medical Center Emergency Department, will present information on nerve, blood, blister, and pulmonary agents. This lecture begins at 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11 in Room 407 of South Shepler Tower on Cameron’s Lawton campus. This lecture is one in a series hosted by Southwest AHEC. The series provides health care professionals and first responders with relevant and accessible training to meet the threat of bioterrorism and other hazardous events. All training is free of charge and continuing education or Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training credit is available. Registration will be taken at the door on a first-come, first-seat basis. This lecture series is also being offered in Burns Flat, Cordell, Duncan, Elk City, Fort Sill, Mangum, Pauls Valley and Weatherford with a facilitator at each site.
