Our church continues that tradition, using stone, wood and glass. You are invited to take a new look at our church, to see its beauty and to allow it to deepen your faith. Along the body of the church, called the nave, where the oak ceiling meets the side walls are twenty-eight crosses of the world. These crosses are in the various ecclesiastical colors of red, blue, green, and white. Each cross is bordered by a thin band of gold leaf and is set on a walnut shield. On the side of the church nearest the parking lot, called the Gospel side, going from the sanctuary to the choir loft, these crosses are: Greek (Green); Archiepiscopal (Blue); Crosslet (White); Milrine (Red); Barbee (Green); Moline (Blue); Quadrate (White); Maltese (Red); Bottone (Green); Tau (Blue); Fourchee (White); Avellane (Red); Ankh (Green); and Chi-Rho Anchor (Blue). On the side of the church nearest Commonwealth Avenue, sometimes called the Epistle side, going from the sanctuary to the choir loft, these crosses are: Latin (Red); Papal (White); Jerusalem (Blue); Calvary (Green); Satire (Red); Ancree (White); Patonce (Blue); Formee (Green); Pommee (Red); Pall (White); Potent (Blue); Celtic (Green); Chi Rho (Red); and Fluery (White).
