May we suggest The Gift by Hafiz, translated by Daniel Ladinsky. Then join us for discussion of this book on September 20th at 11:15 in the rectory living room. Reviewer Patricia Monaghan has this to say about The Gift: “Hafiz is so beloved in Iran that he outsells the Koran. Nothing is too human for Hafiz to celebrate, for in humanity he finds the prospect of God. In everything from housework to lovemaking, he celebrates the spiritual possibilities of life. A fine and stirring new presentation of one of the world's great poets”. ST. IGNATIUS MUSIC MINISTRY CHORAL SINGERS : Our wonderful St. Ignatius 10am choir will begin the new season with an "open rehearsal" for those of you who may be interested in joining this year. The open rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 2nd at 7:15 pm in the church basement Choir Room. Come meet the choir and sing through some of the choir's new repertoire. A dessert reception will follow in the Friary Room. For more info, please contact director Michael Burgo; burgo@bc.edu 617 552 6108 5:30 CONTEMPORARY ENSEMBLE is looking for new members as well.
