An inquiry program for non-Catholics A welcome back for inactive Catholics An updating for practicing Catholics This program leads into RCIA for those wishing to become Catholics and Confirmation for those who are Baptized and have received Eucharist For this first session of With Open Arms, we will be hosting a group of young German Catholics who are coming to Boston to learn more about how we live our Catholic Faith in a parish in the US. We would like to invite any parishioner who would be interested to come and share your experience of being Catholic with these guests and those who are inquiring about our faith. OUTREACH MINISTRIES IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AND WE NEED YOU! This is usually the time of year when Outreach Commission members finalize a schedule and work up the year’s calendar. This year, however, Commission members have made the decision to take a step back and spend some time looking at what’s been (which has been an enormous amount of good accomplished over many years) and how we might want to move ahead, possibly in some new directions. We would very much like to have YOU involved in our process of assessment. The Commission has scheduled an “Outreach Summit” for next Sunday, September 26th, at 3:30PM in the Friary Room (lower church). Could you give us an hour or so to partner with us and share your thoughts and ideas about current efforts and possible efforts for the coming year? No need to RSVP – just join us! If you have input to offer and cannot be present, please contact Sr. Diane at vallerio@bc.edu. AUTUMN RITUAL NO MORE: For more than twenty-five years, the Newton Walk for the World (originally named CROP Walk) has been a part of the autumn scene in Newton. Times have changed and the decision was made to discontinue the Walk as we have known it. Newton Walk Committee members are planning to provide a different opportunity to support Church World Service in its global mission. Stay tuned!
