TRANSI TIONS
A number of our Staff will be moving on and others will be joining us.
We thank Melisa Melnyk for her year of service in the parish and congratulate her on her wedding this
summer. We wish her many blessings as she begins this new journey.
We will miss Patricia Fazzone and her wonderful Spirituality Programs, especially for our children and
for families preparing for Baptism. Patricia has been sharing her creative gifts in the parish for more than
17 years, and we are so blessed that she was with us for so long.
Fr. John Wronski, SJ assumes the position of Executive Director of Nativity Prep beginning in July. We
have been so blessed to have Fr. John for the first three years of his priesthood. We are hoping that John
will continue celebrating Mass here when he is able.
Fr. J. A. Loftus,SJ (no relation to Fr. Ken Loftus) will be joining the staff. Fr. JA has been the Director of
the Jesuit Urban Center, and is a psychologist in private practice. In addition to regular pastoral duties,
he will be working in the area of Adult Faith Formation.
Jerry Sloan will be joining the staff part-time as assistant to Amy Chapman, new Director of Family Faith
Formation. Jerry comes to us from the JUC and is doing a graduate degree in History at BC.
Steven Crimaldi, a graduate student at Weston Jesuit, will also be assisting Amy with a special focus on
the Confirmation Program.
We also welcome Fr. Christoph Hermann, SJ, a Jesuit from the German Province who is working in a
parish in Stockholm, Sweden. Christoph will be with us through most of the month of July.
ARE YOU LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO READ? YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY The Reality of God and
the Problem of Evil by Brian Davies. On June 24th, there will be a discussion of this book at 11:15
am in the rectory living room. Please feel free to join in the conversation on this timeless issue.

Estamos invitando a los miembros de la comunidad Latina a organizar grupos de oración, grupos de

OUTREACH MINISTRIES
ON-GOING COLLECTIONS: Our on-going collections help The Family Van, Shattuck
Shelter and Mother Caroline Academy and Education Center. Donations can be left in the
hampers that are at either side front entrance of the upper church. The list of wishedfor items is on the large bulletin board in the church entrance. PLEASE NOTE: School’s
out for the summer! So, we’ll suspend our collection of snacks and lunch foods for Mother
Caroline Academy until late August.
COMING: Summer is just about here, so it’s time to start planning for the
Saturday, July 21st cookout for the Guests at Shattuck Shelter. Sign-up
sheets for donations and volunteering and a box for cash donations (since we
purchase many items in bulk) will be available, on the table in the Gathering
Space, June 30th/July 1st, July 7th/8th and July 14th/15th.
ALSO COMING: Our annual back-to-school items drive - August
25th/26th. This year we hope to be able to provide both Julie’s
Family Learning Program, South Boston, and Mother Caroline Academy,
Dorchester, with back-to-school basics like backpacks, pens, pencils,
paper, notebooks and the like. Sales will start soon, so we thought you’d like to know so
you can plan ahead!

May God bless you and guide you in your very special role as a father.
May it always be for you a joy and a privilege.
May you cherish your children, from birth through adulthood,
As unique and precious gifts from God.
May you always love and forgive them as God loves and forgives you.
May you be quick to praise and slow to find fault,
And may you be wise in all your decisions.
May God reward you abundantly for all your fatherly love and care.
And may God bless all our fathers who have gone to their rest.
May they find comfort and joy in the arms of their heavenly Father.
