Another way of asking the question could be; “Who am I for you? What real difference do I make in your life?” From the time when we are very young, most of us have heard “about” Jesus. We learn that he is our Savior, our Redeemer, the Son of God. Hopefully over time and as we mature, we come to know and love him for who he is in himself and not just for the role he plays in salvation history. The “one on one” relationship with Jesus is the very heart of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. In the second “week” of the Exercises we ask for the grace “to know Jesus intimately, to love him more intensely, and so to follow him more closely.” Over the coming weeks, I hope to share some reflections with you about the ways in which our parishioners answer the question, “Who do you say that I am?” Fr. Bob YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN US! Saturday, September 22, from 6-9pm at St. Ignatius of Loyola $20; $10 for Seniors & Students. Cash/Check at Admission.
