DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Employee will assist in the development, planning and coordination of the agency’s overall personnel responsibilities and perform a broad range of Human Resources day to day responsibilities. All work assignments must be performed in an efficient and timely manner that ensures the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy at all times. Individual must work in an effective, timely and professional manner ensuring quality customer service to employees. Employee will be responsible for the administration of the payroll process. Must be able to perform in a fast paced work environment and maintain compliance with the Office of State Human Resources, County of Wilson, as well as Federal/State regulations. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school and five years of progressively responsible administrative work including at least two years of experience in administering a personnel program(s) for a work unit or in a personnel office, preferably related to the area assigned to the position; or graduation from a four year college or university and one year of experience in administering a personnel program(s) for a work unit or in a personnel office, preferably related to the area assigned to the position; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. PREFERENCES: Prefer applicants with 5 or more years of experience in Human Resources.
