DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Employee will assist in the development, planning and coordination of the agency’s overall
personnel responsibilities and perform a broad range of Human Resources day to day functions in a paperless
environment. All work assignments must be performed in a manner that ensures the highest level of confidentiality and
accuracy at all times. Individual must work in an effective, timely and professional manner ensuring quality customer
service to employees. Must be able to perform in a fast paced deadline driven work environment and maintain
compliance with the NC Office of State Human Resources, County of Wilson and Federal rules and regulations.

Requires the ability to work effectively in a teamwork setting; maintain a cooperative and effective working relationship
with team members, community professionals, and agency leaders. Must possess and be able to demonstrate excellent
computer skills in the following software programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Also employee must possess
basic technical skills to operate agency equipment. Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school and four years of progressively responsible
administrative work including at least one year of experience in administering a personnel program(s) for a work unit or
in a personnel office, preferably related to the area assigned to the position; or graduation from a four year college or
university; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
PREFERENCES: Prefer applicants with 3 or more years of experience in Human Resources.
