Site Council Web Site has been updated putting the Site Council Meeting
notes agenda at the top. (Becky) Proposed adding the Minutes to the RHS
blast. (John) Presented the “thank you” letter for donations based on the
format of the District 196 letter, which is currently used by the school to thank
donors. (John) Reported back on Yearbook – yearbook advisor provided
feedback regarding inserts – costs could go up. Social Media is sited as
more important to get current information and the reason why an insert would
not be needed. Opinion of the committee is to have John discuss this with
the Student Council and report back. (Becky) Also called for researching the
cost of the insert. (John) Reported the bush discussed as an obstruction of
the stop sign at the Chili Avenue entrance has been cut down.
7:05 – 7:07
(Mary) Benefit Fund Presentation. December Fund Balance remains
roughly the same at $15,122.07 ($0.39 interest). Give to the Max money and
matching amount has not yet been received or deposited. John will follow up
with the Foundation’s bank.
7:08
(John) No District Parent Leader Meeting Report this month, because there
was not a meeting in December.
7:08 – 7:19
(John) Review of Irish Flex Day. The large group Enrichment session
included a presentation to the students of all grades by Walter Bond – former
U of M Basketball player – mixed reviews by students. Teacher survey
results from the day seem to show growing support of Flex Days from
Teachers. (Becky) Requests adding Flex Day on school calendars.

Scholars visit to RHS to see a preview of On Stage. This activity provided
Young Scholars, experience and understanding of school productions.

4Ur School earned $900. (John) Discussed Rosemount Rotary involvement.
(Jeanette) Focus Research – still seeking involvement. (John) Discussion of
how to use money beyond awarding scholarships. Cost to add another year
long class section $6,500 (extra section for an existing teacher– much more
affordable and attainable than adding another teacher). Discussion of
soliciting local and surrounding businesses for another St. Patrick’s Day
