6:30 – 6:35 (Becky) Call to Order, Welcome members
6:35 – 6:55 (John) Follow up from lasting meeting
John found out the preparation of an insert for the yearbook would not affect the price of the
yearbook. Given our current yearbook structure at Rosemount, to finish the book by spring would
require it being a class that runs year long and meets every day. This would cost .2 of a teacher salary.
(Jacy & Alli) stated that the student council really did not have preference. Discussed an insert for
autographs delivered at the end of the school year. John will share the information with the Yearbook
committee.
6:55 - (John) The check has been received and deposited for “Give to the Max”. Money has not yet
cleared the bank. John reported that matching funds for this event needed to come from donors. Look
for money to clear the bank during February and be reported at the March Site Council meeting.
(Michelle) Parent Leader Meeting (Jan 2012) – The district is on track to under spend the current budget
by $5 mil; March 9; calendar change for this year, additional teacher workday with students off for
elementary schools. Proposed school start on Sept 6 for K-5 with testing the first two days, 4 & 5 Sept.
7:00 (Assistant Principle - Kim Budde) Spoke on LADR - Leading and Developing Readiness, Partnership
with Inver Hills Community College. Program designed for the academic middle. Funded by grant
money. Targeting first generation college students, students of color, lower income. The program will
end up allowing these students to earn Inver Hills Community College credit for English classes their
junior and senior years.
7:25 (Mary) Benefit Fund Presentation. January Fund Balance: $14,222.44; Issued $1000 check to John
Erlandson (student) for scholarship. Received $100 to the Arts and Received “Give to the Max” check on
Feb 1, 2012. It has yet to clear the bank.

received remediation help during T1 Flex days.
