CHAPTER 04 – RESPONSIBILITY
04.5 - PROJECT INSPECTORS
1. Construction Inspectors solely in a training position shall be designated by the COR via
Form GP-6320-32, Designation of Inspector (In Training), IIT, (see Exhibit 1).
2. IIT's will be assigned to projects to obtain the training necessary for their development
as fully qualified inspectors. When a person is designated as an IIT, a written plan will be
developed to insure completion of the planned training, both the person being trained and the
COR will indicate completion of each phase of the completed training on the written plan.
3. Since the purpose of an IIT designation is to train people to become fully qualified
inspectors, they will not be assigned field work unless a certified inspector, or COR, will be
present to direct their work.
