The task
Champion is Brunei‘s most prolific offshore field. The field already has more than 260 wells
drilled from 40 platforms, among which is Champion 7. The existing power generation and
power management system was not sufficient for major future growth. This is mainly due to
the very old existing gas turbines which were at least 20-30 years old. The aim was to enable
zero black outs on the platform.

Petrobras’ P43 and P48 produce crude oil
from the Barracuda and Caratinga fields off
the coast of Brazil.
The task
Supply of process compression modules and complete safety and vessel management
systems for two deep water FPSOs.
The solution
Siemens had to deliver two major scope packages, six stand-alone compressor modules
and the FPSO automation and management systems. Focus was on fully tested solutions
to ensure reliable delivery and commissioning schedule.
