Please join our “Parents & Friends of Kodiak Christian School” Facebook page. The Catalog Sales are coming to a close, what a wonderful success! Congrats to Cammi Hintz for winning the big dog prize, Hero! We are at the midterm of the first trimester already! That’s incredible! Go KCS! The Fall Auction is right around the corner. I wonder who will be our next student that gets to be the Principal for a Half Day? We were visited by Mr. David Bradbury during Wednesday’s Chapel. He helped us better understand what Jesus meant when He said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” God is so good! All the time! Just to keep you thinking? “Can you recite Matthew Chapter 5: Verses 1-3?” Recite it for Mr. Steffensen and earn a prize. Everyone please start taking pictures during class and school activities. We are looking for one parent from each class, except 5th/6th grade, to commit to help gather and upload photos for yearbook. This is a very easy job that can be done from home and counts towards service hours. If we begin now and continue throughout the year, it makes the process much smoother for the yearbook team. For the best quality and convenience, each classroom has its own camera to help “capture the moment”. We also need one person to help contact specific businesses for advertising. This keeps the cost of our yearbook low for each student. If you have any questions or would like to help, please contact Jess Penaloza at jessangell@hotmail.com or text or call her at 942-7260 as soon as possible. “Many hands make light work”, and we thank the Lord for those “many hands”. Service Hours Opportunities – Parents, remember to log your service hours and turn them in once a month. YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE CHARGED $20 FOR EVERY HOUR NOT SERVED. There are service slips to fill out at the office window. Any questions please call the office 486-4905.
