Dear Friends of the Arts:
At Grant Center for the Expressive Arts, we provide
every student with the opportunity to express
themselves and grow academically, culturally, and
artistically. Our staff uses the arts as a means of
increasing motivation and enhancing critical thinking
skills – AND IT WORKS!
Grant’s students are challenged on all academic levels.
They create, learn and comprehend through visual arts,
music, drama, literature and dance. Additionally, Grant
CEA offers dozens of “enrichment” courses, ranging from tap dance and Photoshop to
playwriting and quilting – and all courses are offered free to all students.
This year marks the 15th annual Grant CEA ‘For the Love of Art’ benefit auction. The
event will be held Saturday, April 30th, 2016 at the Foss Waterway Seaport Museum in
Tacoma, WA. The evening includes dinner, and both silent and live auctions. Past auction
proceeds have helped purchase essentials such as arts training for teachers, visiting artists,
enrichments with glass, art supplies, and field trips, to name a few.
Please help keep the arts alive by supporting our auction. We are grateful for any items or
services you may want to contribute. Your donations are tax deductible (our tax ID number is
91-1227754). Also, your company or business will be promoted in auction previews, on our
Facebook site and in our programs used during our event. We’re happy to arrange pick-up or
