All students must take the “regular list” spelling test. Those taking only the “regular list” will write sentences for three
of the words as part of the test. All words in the sentence must be spelled correctly with correct punctuation and
capitalization.

Students that need a little challenge may take a “challenge test”. These words are not studied in class but usually
follow the same spelling rule as the “regular list”. The grades for the two tests will be averaged together to reach the
test grade for the week. Students will write sentences for two of the words as part of the test. All words in the
sentence must be spelled correctly with correct punctuation and capitalization.
