Reporting to the Finance & Business Operations Manager, the Finance Analyst is responsible for providing Programme Financial Control on the programme. The Finance analyst is responsible for a wide variety of finance oriented tasks for this new and complex Programme. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Managing and forecasting Orders, Sales, EBIT (Earnings before interest and taxation) and Cash reporting Establishing, maintaining, tracking, and reporting Programme Baselines, and Outlooks as well as Short Term Forecasts, Long Range Plans and programme Estimates at Completion (EACs) Customer Invoicing Cash collections and maintaining appropriate programme cash flow Monthly programme financial analysis including balance sheet and income statement Programme funding analysis Earned value reporting Responsible for the production, accuracy and presentation of internal and customer reports Performing multiple financial cost analysis functions, including cost allocation, setting up cost control systems, collecting data, controlling costs and preparing reports that are maintained in the company's cost accounting system Identifying and managing key financial drivers Ensuring that costs are allocated according to established procedures Responsible for the Programme financial data held on Lockheed Martin US and UK systems Liaison with central accounting to ensure systems are functioning appropriately and data produced has integrity. Ad hoc MARS ledger reporting Establishing new financial processes to meet Programme needs It is important that the candidate has strong communication skills (both verbal and written) as they will be interfacing with Programme Managers and customers as well as the Finance Management team. The candidate will be expected to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and to show a degree of flexibility in working hours when required to meet project and finance deadlines. Ensures that costs are allocated according to established procedures. Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. Typical Minimum Education & Experience: Ideally require a Bachelors degree from an accredited college and capability typically achieved through proven professional experience.
