students then model in their writing

Language Arts Continued

Bellwork Quizzes
– Students will complete bellwork each day (Monday-Thursday)
– Quiz over the two weeks of lessons will be every other Friday
– Bellwork consists of comprehension skills, writing, grammar, and
vocabulary
– Everything will be written/glued in “bellwork notebook”

Media Center visits bi-weekly

Books:
– Whole class: Watson’s go to Birmingham 1963
– Students will read 3 of the following: City of Ember, The Lightning Thief,
100 Cupboards, Al Capone Does My Shirts, Things Not Seen, Rules


– 80% of grade is based on projects, tests, and quizzes
– 20% of grade is based on homework and participation
