Yoga this month will continue to be with Tessa on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Student Lounge. Times
will change from class to class; the schedule is below. Please arrive on time and ready to go. Bring your
own mat if you have one as our supplies are limited. Classes are free as always!

Join us for a lunch lecture on the topic of prosthetic limbs in veteran care. Greek Lady gyros will be
served as we hear from Dr. Gary Woodring, Chief of Prosthetics at the VA.

Primary Care Progress invites you to an interactive and interdisciplinary session with medical and
nursing students on the outpatient visit- 15 Minute Physical! We will boil down the physical exam to the
essentials and have you ready impress in the clinics...or at least look like you know what you're doing
with that stethoscope...that's a start! We'll also be enjoying Insomnia Cookies. Join us on Thursday
11/14, 5-6 PM in Stemmler 102A. .

2. NEWS FROM MSG
a. Become a Medical Textbook Reviewer for Wiley-Blackwell
Where: At home in your PJs/Scrubs
Contact: www.reviewmedicalbooks.com
Wiley-Blackwell, a medical publisher, is looking for more U.S. and Canada-based student reviewers. If
you add yourself to their student reviewer database, they will occasionally request for you to go through
either part of a proposal, manuscript, or draft for a medical textbook. You may also receive a finished
book to review (which you get to keep). After reading it, you will be asked to fill out an online form with
about 20 questions. Compensation is mainly a 15% discount through wiley.com, plus any materials sent
to you. Information and application can be found at www.reviewmedicalbooks.com.
b. Informal Formal Update
Our annual formal will be taking place on Friday, January 17th at the Curtis Center. Tickets will go on
sale later this month, so keep your eyes posted! More details to come…
