Free yoga for all levels!
Yoga this month will continue to be with Tessa on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Student Lounge. Times
will change from class to class; the schedule is below. Please arrive on time and ready to go. Bring your
own mat if you have one as our supplies are limited. Classes are free as always!

c. Lunch Talk on Pediatric Dermatology
Student Group: Pediatrics Interest Group and Dermatology Interest Group

Dr. Jim Treat, a pediatric dermatologist and the Derm 200 course director will be speaking about the
field of pediatric dermatology and reviewing a few interesting cases. There will also be time for Q&A at
the end.
d. Penn Med October Blood Drive
Student Group: No affiliation
When: All of October, Monday - Friday 8:00am-3:15pm
Where: Penn Blood Donation Center, Penn Tower, Bridge Leve

The need for blood and blood products is great. Blood collected through the Penn Medicine Blood
Donation Center is used directly for the care of patients at HUP. Please participate in Penn Med’s
October Blood Drive by donating. With your help, we can surpass our goal of 65 donations! Let them
know you are a medical student and receive a small gift.
Blood can be given from 8am - 3:15pm Monday-Friday. You can walk in or schedule online:

a. Become a Medical Textbook Reviewer for Wiley-Blackwell
Where: At home in your PJs/Scrubs
Contact: www.reviewmedicalbooks.com
Wiley-Blackwell, a medical publisher, is looking for more U.S. and Canada-based student reviewers. If
you add yourself to their student reviewer database, they will occasionally request for you to go through
either part of a proposal, manuscript, or draft for a medical textbook. You may also receive a finished
book to review (which you get to keep). After reading it, you will be asked to fill out an online form with
about 20 questions. Compensation is mainly a 15% discount through wiley.com, plus any materials sent
to you. Information and application can be found at www.reviewmedicalbooks.com.
