Res Medica Journal submission opportunity Interested in publishing some of your work? Check out the following opportunity through Res Medica. Res Medica, the open access peer reviewed journal of the Royal Medical Society, is now open for submissions from medical students worldwide. We aim to provide a platform from which medical students can publish, read and review academic research. Indeed, to further this cause, we are in the process of applying to have the journal PubMed indexed (PMID). We welcome original research, reviews, case reports, audits, perspective articles, historical articles and editorials from medical students, doctors and academics in the field of medical research (please see our Submissions section for more details, available at http://journals.ed.ac.uk/resmedica/about/submissions The submission date for the 2014 edition of Res Medica is the 31st March 2014. Submissions will be accepted online. Articles that are accepted will be published in October 2014. Philadelphia Oral Cancer Walk with Penn Dental, March 29th The 6th Annual Philadelphia ORAL CANCER WALK will take place on March 29th, 2014. This event is hosted by Penn Dental students, in association with the Oral Cancer Foundation, and is one of Penn’s largest community service events. We promote the message that early detection saves lives, and as future health care providers, each of us is instrumental in the mission to fight oral cancer. The event is consistently great fun, with free oral cancer screenings to the public, great guest speakers, facepainting, music, free food, smoothies, and free giveaways all in the name of a great cause. What you can do: Be a part of our walk and 5K. The Wharton Roadrunners are sponsoring a 5km run on Saturday, April 5th to raise money for Camp Kesem and the American Cancer Society.They have offered to fund a free happy hour for the Med School House that has the most number of people sign up. Sign up at here! The cost is $15/person. When registering, you'll have the chance to sign up with your House under the "Group" drop-down tab (go Dickens!).
