Señor Picasso
Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor
printmaker ceramicist, stage designer, poet and
playwright. Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan
Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la
Santísima Trinidad Martyr Patricio Clito Ruíz y Picasso
was his full name, it contains 23 words!! He painted
cubism, which is a type of art where the artist analyzes
the object, and breaks it up and reassembles it in an
abstract order. One of his famous paintings was “The
Seated Woman With Wrist Watch.” He was born on
25th October 1881 and died 8th April 1973.
Señor Dali
Salvador Dali was another Spanish artist, but he
painted surrealism, not cubism. His full name was
Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, and
was born on 11th May 1904. Surrealist artists created
strange creatures and scenes from everyday objects.
Sadly, he died on 23rd January 1989 from heart failure.
One of his most famous painting was “The Persistance
Of Memory”, which consisted of 3 melted pocket
watches.
Señor Miro
Joan Miró i Ferrà was born 20th April 1893, and
was a Catalan Spanish painter, sculptor and Ceramicist.
His work has been classed as Surrealism and cubism,
because he painted things as he saw in his mind. He died
from heart disease on 25th December 1983. His
paintings were all quite childish, in my opinion, but they
are extremely priceless antiques now, they are worth
millions. His “Self Portrait” painting consists of a heart
and circles.
