
Picasso developed a style
of art known as Cubism.
Cubism began in France in
1907. Picasso began
painting figures that were
made up of different
shapes, cubes, spheres,
cylinders, and cones. The
paintings looked like
someone had cut them up
and glued them back
together.

Draw an OVAL
Divide the oval in HALF
Divide the two halves in HALF creating THREE lines on
the oval
Draw a line (vertical) down the middle of the oval
dividing it in half
Draw eyes on the MIDDLE (horizontal) line
Draw nose on the BOTTOM (horizontal) line
Draw mouth BETWEEN the bottom line and the
bottom of the oval
Add eyebrows above eyes, eyelashes, and hair
