We are all looking forward to a great year with the students.
We are sure this will prove to be a busy and productive year.
If the need arises for a conference, our planning time is from
12:55–1:45. Other arrangements can be made as well. The
easiest way to reach us is through email. The specific email
addresses are listed on the brochure.
You can also call school and leave a voice mail. The specific
numbers are listed as well. If your message cannot wait until the
end of the day, please call the front office and leave the message
with the receptionist, Mrs. Cardle, at 533-6300.

 Students are always encouraged to do their best
 Appropriate classroom behavior is expected
 rewards and incentives are given for excellent behavior
 Behavior infractions will be documented. Students will lose
behavior points for various infractions.
 Minor infractions – loss of 1 point
 Responsibility infractions – loss of 1 point
 Respect infractions – loss of 5 points
~Conduct grade will be based on the total number of points maintained
~Students start new every 9 weeks
Homework Policy
 Students will have daily homework of approximately 20-40
minutes per night.
 Homework is due the next day, unless other directions are
given.
Student Assignment Journal
 Students will write assignments in the Homework
Notebook.
 Please check your child’s notebook each day.
 The notebook is a communication tool between home and
school.
 It keeps you aware of daily assignments, tests, and
conduct.
Grading Policy
 Grading Scale:
100-90 = A
89-80= B
79-75= C
74-70 = D
69 or below = failing
If a student received a failing test grade, he/she may retake the
test. The highest possible grade he/she can earn on the retake is
75%.
BIRTHDAYS
 Birthday celebrations will be held the
last Friday of every month. This will be the
only day that birthday treats may be shared with the class
due to Texas state regulations.
If you send treats on any other day they will be returned.
Tuesday Folder
 Each Tuesday the students will bring home a
folder with district and campus information.
 Please sign the folder and return the following
day.
Snack
 Daily snack time will be at approximately 10:00.
 Please send a healthy snack with your child each
day.
 Students are allowed water only. No other
beverages please.
