Description
Cardiorespiratory function and metabolism testing
Diagnostic, maximal graded exercise stress test (GXT)
with 12-lead ECG
Diagnostic, maximal GXT with 12-lead ECG and
respiration kinetics (VO2, VCO2, RER, VE, etc.)
Non-diagnostic GXT to assess VO2 max (treadmill) or
VO2 peak (cycle)
Submaximal, steady state exercise test (walking, stair
climbing, or cycling) with respiration kinetics to assess
exercise metabolism
Resting metabolism (resting energy expenditure via hood
calorimetry)
Blood glucose measurement
Blood lactate measurement
Neuromuscular performance testing
Maximum voluntary isometric strength (Biodex
dynamometry)
Maximum voluntary concentric strength (Biodex
dynamometry or conventional 1RM)
Load-power or force-velocity 5-point curve
Electrically evoked maximum isometric force (including
force deficit determination)
Dynamic, high frequency muscle fatigue
Isometric muscle fatigue
Explosive power test (force plates)
Other performance test
Addition of surface electromyography (EMG) and
interpretation to any neuromuscular performance test
Mobility function testing
Chair stand test with relative motor unit activation (EMG)
Gait analysis (instrumented walkway)
Computerized balance assessment (Biodex)
