Title
Course Coordinator
Dr.Raffid
Course Objective
To develop some techniques of experimental organic chemistry.
To enable the students to check the purity of organic compounds by determining
the melting, boiling points or thin layer chromatography (TLC).
To learn various methods of preparation of organic compounds based functional
groups.
To find out how these molecules react with each other and how to predict their
reactions.
To design new molecules and then make them.
To improve your ability to communicate concisely and clearly in writing
Course Description
This course is intended to introduce you to major concepts, techniques in organic
chemistry through laboratory experiments and focuses on general methods and
strategies for the synthesis of organic compounds
