Includes international developments. Textbook: Operations Management by Sadik Cokelez (free of charge; posted on the web site) Learning Objectives: To provide the students with a broad background in the management of operations functions in manufacturing and service organizations and expose them to the application of computational and analytical techniques used in production operations management related decisions. Course Expectations and Policies: Course Expectations: The student is expected to read the assigned materials on a timely basis and turn in the homework and projects on time and to take the tests as scheduled. For this 3-unit course the student is expected to devote 9 hours/week. The students are expected to attend the class regularly. Academic Integrity: The academic integrity and honesty are required for the tests, projects, homework and in all aspects of the course. Makeup work: The students will take the exams at scheduled times and turn in the homework on time. In cases such as a loss of a relative or documented illness the students will be given makeup.
