Higher level learners may draw and paint more complex lines (refer to Lines poster). Lower level learners may need the teacher to
guide them one-on-one as they draw their lines.

Most of the paper will be painted in with watercolor
paints.
Students will be able to describe the different kinds
of lines they drew on their paper.

for examples of different kinds of lines.
Formative assessments:
Students will use materials (paint) responsibly.
Students will paint different kinds of lines on their
paper.
Students will identify and describe different kinds of
lines.
Summative assessment: Students will have painted a
variety of lines with black paint on their paper. The
remaining white space will be painted in with
different colors.
