Alex is a film director edging into middle age and suffering from a creative block. Needing
some fresh ideas for his next screenplay, Alex leaves his wife in Barcelona to visit his
friend Santi in the countryside for a few days. Alex is surprised to learn Santi has other
guests, Judith and her musician friend Monica. As Alex and Santi join Judith and Monica
for dinner, they discuss their lives and careers and Alex begins to relax; life in the
mountains proves to be a tremendous tonic for him, and he feels rested and confident.
But the idyllic surroundings aren't making it any easier for him to write, and he feels a
growing attraction to Monica which he suspects may be mutual…

man they grew up with, the complications that follow leads them to reconsider the role
that death plays in everyday life.

neighbors’ mail, to listen secretly the other people’s conversations, to follow the comings
and going of travelers at a small train station… One day, Dolores, a noisy Spanish
woman, moves to his neighborhood and totally attracts Léon’s attention. He learns about
Dolores’ encounters, knows her sorrows, eardrops the ups and downs of her luck and
takes part on his life without her knowing it. Year after year, Léon writes down on his
note book all the tiny details of her daily life. Only eventually, Dolores will discover that
there is some one who has become her shadow.

and won the ‘AudiencePrize’ at the Montreal Film Festival. The film follows a recalcitrant
gang of wheelchair-bound kids from amongst the ‘baldly’ population (so-called because
of the effects of chemotherapy treatment) of the fourth floor. Led by wisecracking Miguel
and his mate Izan, the boys strive tomaintain their sense of humour—and ability to be
normal teens—despite the restrictive rules of the hospital

excitement than their sleepy hometown can provide, Juani and Vani have talked for years
about moving to Madrid and trying to break into show business, and one night, after
Vani is nearly raped by her thuggish boyfriend Nacho and Juani walks in on her beau
Jonah having sex with another woman, they pack their bags and hit the road. Once they
arrive in Madrid, Juani takes up with a low-rent film producer, but her dreams of film
stardom are soon dashed, while Vani once again falls in love with the wrong guy.

La historia podría contarse desde el punto de vista de Perroquet, un irritante pájaro
doméstico que ha visto a su dueña, la vieja Mme. Catherine, palmarla por culpa de
demasiados excesos, y ser enterrada a hurtadillas por Eric el mecánico. También podría
contarse deteniéndonos en los trenes que cruzan este pequeño pueblecito no lejos de la
frontera, lleno de vagones recorridos por revisores soñadores y perdidos como Sophie,
que despachan a diario su lote de pasajeros, entre los cuales se encuentra el guapo de
Gerard, que no hace más que pasar por los lugares como el viento que sopla aquí y allá, ¿a
dónde irá Gerard?. Las manos vacías presenta una historia que es al mismo tiempo
siniestra, divertida, simple y muy enmarañada.

Léon es un hombre solitario, que no trabaja en nada ni se relaciona con nadie. Sólo
cuida a su madre enferma hasta que ella muere. Para romper su soledad, le gusta
robar el correo de los vecinos, escuchar las conversaciones de la gente, seguir las idas y
venidas de los viajeros en una pequeña estación de tren. Un día, Dolores, una española
ruidosa, se instala en el vecindario y Léon fija en ella toda su atención. Conoce sus
encuentros, sus tristezas, espía a través de los tabiques los altibajos de su suerte e
interviene en su vida, mientras va consignando a lo largo de años en un cuaderno los
pequeños detalles de su cotidianeidad. Sólo al final ella sabrá que alguien se convirtió
en su sombra.

Federico y Sam son dos hombres con suerte. Federico sobrevivió a un terremoto y

Un día Federico reta a Sam y éste le expulsa del paraíso, le quita el don. Años más
tarde, Federico cree haber encontrado en Tomás, el único superviviente de un
accidente aéreo, el instrumento de su venganza. Enseñándole a controlar la fortuna,
podrá utilizarle para volver al casino y enfrentarse al Dios del Azar. Juntos, comienzan
un viaje iniciático, una sucesión de pruebas cada vez más duras y extrañas en las que la
apuesta más alta es la suerte de los demás; suerte que, en este juego, queda atrapada
en una simple fotografía. Todo marcha bien hasta que Sara, una policía superviviente
del accidente de tráfico que acabó con su familia, se obsesiona con descubrir qué hay
detrás de estos juegos clandestinos en los que la muerte y la suerte se confunden. En

Un grupo de chicos que rondan los quince años comparten un ‘barrio’ muy peculiar: la
planta de traumatología de un hospital. Miguel Ángel, Izan, Dani y Jorge logran con su
alegría desafiar el destino y hacer soportable su estancia en el centro. Aparte de las
dietas hiposódicas, también hay pacientes nuevos que conocer, enfermeras de las que
burlarse, incursiones nocturnas por los pasillos del hospital, partidos de baloncesto
que disputarle al equipo de San Pablo.
