ATTENDANCE POLICY
Students are expected to be in class for every meeting. As a rule, missing SIX (6) class meetings will
result in a grade of “W”. Should extenuating circumstances arise, I will discuss a waiver of this policy on
an individual basis. Class begins on time, so be prompt.
AUTO SHOP POLICY
The auto shop is utilized by as many as 12 different classes during a semester. Common courtesy
implies that each student will be responsible for cleaning up their work area and tools upon completion of
the project or when time for the class has expired. SAFETY GLASSES are available in the shop and
MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE SHOP AREA.
TOOL POLICY
All tools necessary are provided by the college for your use. Please clean them before returning them to
their proper places. A tool inspection will be performed before class ends so that any missing tools are
recovered and our class will not be blamed for the loss. Anyone caught attempting to steal tools will be
removed from class and will receive an “F” for a grade.
VEHICLES
No parking in the shop area without permission from the instructor. Vehicles will not be left overnight
without instructor’s permission. Vehicles left after the semester has ended will be towed at the owner’s
expense. The work performed in this class will be limited to those tasks that are outlined by the instructor.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All worksheets are to be turned in at the end of the class period.
Disability Support
If you have a disability for which you will need to request accommodations, please contact the Disability
Support Services office (Bristlecone building, Room 103) as soon as possible to arrange for appropriate
