You will need correctly configured DNS services for Active Directory Services to work correctly, the easiest way s to have the DNS server running on the same server as the Active Directory Services. Client computers must be able to resolves the following domain names into ip addresses. www.msn.com perleybrook.umfk.maine.edu perleybrook.advtech.local Whatever name/domain you have assigned to the server. General Comment and Hints You do not need both the router and firewall since the router has firewall capabilities and the firewall has routing capabilities. The process you should employ is; plan the network, install software, configure the network and finally troubleshoot and resolve problems. You will have only 5 hours of lab time available but unlimited amounts of time outside of the lab. Use the time wisely.
