Request for the purchase of a database with experimental data for
physical properties in line with the requirements of the Scienomics
Q-MatInfo project
Contents of the data base
The current contract refers to the purchase of a comprehensive data base with
experimental data for a broad range of physical properties over a wide range of
conditions and a thorough evaluation of their accuracy. This database will be
used subsequently for tuning parameters for the models under development and
for the validation of these models. The contract will be executed by “Experts”
that provide specialized consulting services in terms of technical reports,
industrial analysis, data reporting and validation for a wide range of industrial
sectors including oil & gas, chemicals, automotive etc.
The service provided under the contract will consist of a thorough analysis of all
experimental data and their validation for various physical properties for pure
components and mixtures and over a range of conditions. Specifically:
Experimental data

Pure components:
o Experimental vapor pressure and saturated liquid density data from
the triple point to the critical point for at least 1,000 components.
o Single phase data for the primary thermodynamic properties such as
density, compressibility, internal energy, heat of vaporization, critical
constants and for derivative thermodynamic properties such as heat
capacities, Joule-Thomson coefficient, speed of sound etc. for at least
500 components.
o Transport properties including diffusion coefficient, viscosity and
thermal conductivity over a wide temperature and pressure range for
at least 300 components.
o Mechanical properties for at least 100 pure homo-polymers and copolymers.

Mixtures:
o Vapor – liquid equilibria: Experimental data for at least 500 binary and
at least 50 ternary, quaternary etc. mixtures.
o Liquid – liquid equilibria: Experimental data for at least 200 binary and
at least 50 ternary, quaternary etc. mixtures.
o Vapor – liquid – liquid equilibria: Experimental data for at least 100
mixtures.
o Solid – fluid equilibria

Pharmaceuticals: Solubilities of at least 60 pharmaceuticals in at
least 30 pure solvents and at least 15 mixed solvents.

Hydrates: Experimental data for at least 20 binary and
multicomponent mixtures.
Validation
All data to be provided in this report will be fully validated and a range of
confidence limits will be provided.
Form of delivery of database
Both a “traditional” hard copy and an electronic version of the data will be
provided in a format that is fully compatible with the input format of MAPS and
other Scienomics / “Demokritos” software packages.
