Preterite tense project: create a timeline of your life in the preterite tense
Mi vida en el pasado
o Create a timeline of your life in Spanish
o Start from your birth all the way to present time(but stay in the past, i.e. stop at yesterday)
o Be sure to use preterite tense signifiers (yesterday, last year, last month, etc.)
o Events should be evenly spread out throughout your life
o At least ten events are to be included (you may have more)
o Events should be those you personally experienced or did.
o At least ten events must be illustrated with pictures, magazines, clipart and/or drawings.
o Each event is to be identified with a complete sentence in Spanish, using the Preterite tense
o Do not repeat verbs; therefore use at least eight different verbs. You may repeat two.
o Project is worth one test grade (50 points)
o Poster/book will be evaluated on:
 meeting requirements ( 10 events with pictures and written in preterite tense, at least 8
different verbs), 30 points
 correct use of Spanish grammar (verbs conjugated correctly), 10 points
 creativity / attractiveness/ neatness, 10 points
Example:
Yo nací en Long Beach, California en septiembre.
Yo fui a la escuela “Head Start” hace 28 años.
